A painting of a Montana scene that is often encountered by one who just happens to leave the house…horses and rising mountains.
Another palette knife painting, I tried to keep this one loose because any detail you add could ‘slow’ down the action. I don’t want my paintings to look like an illustration, which can be the case when an artist paints wildlife, figures and or horses.
This painting was created for the love of my life. During this time, I only used palette knives when painting. I also implemented a limited pallet, using paynes grey, cadmium red and yellow ochre. I’m probably biased, but this painting is one of my favorites!
