I will be doing a demo for the Hockaday Museum on February 16th @ 5:30
Demo: Winter Art Maker Series with B. Rex Stewart
Turning winter plein air studies into finished studio paintings: B. Rex Stewart will perform a live painting demo focusing on getting light, value and most importantly color into studio pieces directly from plein air studies. Using a limited palette, Rex will guide the viewer to design a painting through simplification using large masses and harmonious colors. Learn how to block in simply, setting up a foundation to finish a painting quickly, which is vital during the cold, winter days of painting out of doors.
